About Me

Hello! I am Dr Deandra Cutajar from Malta, a small island located in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. I hold a Doctorate in Astrophysics from the University of Malta and currently work in the field of data and AI. The transition from Space to AI was made possible due to the increasing digitization of our world, where data is ubiquitous, and AI technology is following suit.

My academic background taught me how to explain complex techniques to different people. I set out to use that skill to bridge the gap between DATA & AI and businesses, natural persons and educators. DATA can help us understand the world around us, much like Newton understood how Gravity worked, and Einstein refactored it to account for the space-time continuum.

I launched this website in 2021 because I wanted a space to share my experience and knowledge with the public and educate about Data Science and AI.

"Bayesian Data Analysis Techniques in Noisy Environments"

I investigated various Variational Bayesian techniques on synthetic galaxy imagery data to understand how the noise present in the data propagates through the inferred estimates. The measured bias changes according to the Signal-to-Noise ratio during observations.
